We like to travel as well, and we appreciate getting advice from locals on which restaurants to book, places to see, and other tips and hints.

As a local, I am sharing places we usually visit when we are in the area. I hope it is helpful.

Pizza: https://www.pizzeria-tivoli.com.hr/ - located at the entrance of Pula, good pizza and they deliver it (at least out of season)

Closeby meat and traditional, more expensive: https://konoba-allabeccaccia.com/ - walking distance from the house, more fancy and more expensive. Meat is good.

Fish in Fazana: https://www.restaurant-feral.com/konoba_feral.html - in Fazana - when we want fish and FRESH fish.

Beach

We swimm

- Valbandon beach (just walk to the sea and explore both sides)

- Puntizela (can be approached by foot or short car drive)

- Verudela (in Pula)

- Rt Kamenjak (natural park, some driving included, pristine beaches)

Shopping

We buy

- basic stuff in the shop close by

- more variety for fruits and vegetables, visit bigger shops like Plodine (in Fazana is the closest, or even better, the one in Vodnjan), many in Pula area (Plodine, Konzum, and others)

- Visit the green and fish market in Pula - recommended early morning, otherwise fish market is closed.

- shopping centres: Pula City Mall, and Max City, or just walk around the town

- pharmacy: Fazana, Stinja (on the road between Pula and Valbandon), Pula

- Aquapark for children - a few close by, check if suitable for the age
